BECOMING A RESIDENT AT FRANCISCAN OAKS
Follow these steps to become a resident and begin the best years of your life.
STEP ONE
Select an available apartment and hold that apartment for 90 days with a 10% deposit of your
chosen entrance fee plan and a completed Confidential Data Application. If the apartment style
you desire is unavailable, join the Wait List with a $5,000 deposit and a completed Confidential
Data Application. (All deposits are held in an interest bearing account and will be
applied to your entrance fee at move-in. Refer to Section F of our Residence Agreement for
provisions about refunds and forfeiture of interest.)
STEP TWO
Within 30 days of deposit on an apartment (1) provide us with financial verification of the
assets and income listed on your Confidential Data Application and (2) return to us the Physician
Assessment form and test results completed by your doctor. Schedule and complete your appointment
with our nurse.
STEP THREE
Upon confirmation of your medical and financial reviews, you will receive a letter from our
Executive Director inviting you to begin your residency with us. Congratulations!
STEP FOUR
The Move-In Coordinator contacts you to offer free assistance; perhaps a home visit, downsizing
advice, furniture placement templates, and a resource list of services. You book your definite
move-in date with the Coordinator and give us a completed copy of your Power of Attorney.
STEP FIVE
Welcome! Moving Day is here and your new life begins at Franciscan Oaks. The first two weeks you
are offered Orientation and a resident "Oaks Angel" helps you get settled in your new home.
